Poland Dismissed Officials Responsible for Leaking Information about Belarus Activist

Poland dimissed Krzysztof Karsznicki, the head of international relations department at Poland’s Attorney General’s Office, following the release to Belarus of bank details of Belarusian human rights activist Ales Bialacki last week. Karsznicki's deputy also lost her job because of the information leak.

Poland’s foreign minister Radek Sikorski appologized via Twitter saying, “I apologize on behalf of Poland for this reprehensible mistake, we are going to double our efforts to help democracy in Belarus.”
