About Belarus Digest
Belarus Digest was launched in Washington, D.C. in 2008. It is currently run by Belarus-born young professionals in London and Washington. The main aspiration of Belarus Digest is to review and analyze Belarus-related information appearing in international media.
The project is run by volunteers and is not affiliated with any organization. If you wish to contribute to the project, get in touch with one of its current contributors.
The team of Belarus Digest contributors includes:
Yaraslau Kryvoi is the founder and the general editor of Belarus Digest. He is a Harvard Law School grad currently in private practice in London, UK. Prior to this, Yaraslau worked for an international law firm in Washington, DC and as a lecturer at the Belarusian State University. Yaraslau is originally from Minsk, Belarus. Volha Charnysh is the executive editor of Belarus Digest. She is an alumna of Smith College and is currently a fellow at Arms Control Association in Washington, DC. Volha is due to begin her PhD studies in international relations and comparative politics at Harvard University this fall. Volha comes from Hrodna, Belarus. Her personal web site is charnysh.net.
Viachaslau Bortnik is a Belarusian human rights activist currently pursuing MA in Public Administration at the American University in Washington, DC. Viachaslau was born in Homel, Belarus. He can be reached at amnesty_by@gmx.net.
Alexander Čajčyc is a financial journalist working in London, United Kingdom. Alexander’s background is in management consulting, audit, NGO management and political analysis. Alexander was born in Moscow, Russia. His web site is www.cajcyc.org.
Siarhei Bohdan is an alumnus of the Belarus State University and European Humanities University in Lithuania. He is a research fellow with the Institute of Political Studies, a Belarusian think tank located in Lithuania and a regular contributor to Nasha Niva, a Belarusian independent weekly. Siarhei comes from Maladechna, Belarus.
